എഴുതിയിട്ടുണ്ട്‌. ഓണം.മലനാടിനെ
എങ്ങനെയെല്ലാം അണിയിലച്ചൊരുക്കു ന്നുവെന്ന്‌

തുമ്പയുമെല്ലാടങജണത്തെ വരവേല്‍ക്കാന്‍
ഒരുങ്ങുന്നകാഴ്ചകള്‍ കവി അവതരിപ്പിക്കുന്നു.

കാവ്യഹേതുക്കളായി. ചങ്ങമ്പുഴയ്ക്ക
ശേഷമുള്ള മലയാളകവിതയുടെ
പരിവര്‍ത്തനത്തില്‍ പി. കുഞ്ഞിരാമന്‍ നായര്‍,
ഇടശ്ശേരി ഗോവിന്ദന്‍ നായര്‍ എന്നിവര്‍ക്കൊപ്പം
മഹത്തായ പങ്കാണ്‌ വൈലോപ്പിള്ളി വഹിച്ചത്‌.
ജീവി തത്തിന്റെയും മനുഷ്യപുരോഗതിയുടെയും
സങ്കീര്‍ത്തനകാരനായിരുന്നു അദ്ദേഹം.
പതിനെട്ടാമത്തെ വയസ്സിലാണ്‌ വൈലോപ്പിള്ളി
ആദ്യ കവിതയെഴുതിയത്‌. എന്നാല്‍ ആദ്യ
പുസ്തകം ഒരു ശാസ്ത്രഗന്ഥമായിരുന്നു. 1947-ല്‍
ആദ്യ കവിതാ സമാഹാരം പ്രസിദ്ധീക
രിക്കപ്പെട്ടു. കന്നിക്കൊയ്ത്തായിരുന്നു
ആദ്യകൃതി. *മാമ്പഴം’ എന്ന കാവ്യം ഈ
കൃതിയി ലേതാണ്‌. സഹ്യന്റെ മകന്‍, കാക്ക,
ആസാം പണിക്കര്‍, പടയാളികള്‍ തുടങ്ങി
അനേകം മികവുറ്റ രചനകളുടെ സമാഹാരമാണ്‌
കന്നിക്കൊയ്ത്ത്‌. 1950-ല്‍ അദ്ദേഹത്തിനെ രണ്ടാ
മത്തെ സമാഹാരം ശ്രീരേഖ പ്രസിദ്ധീകൃതമായി.

പന്തങ്ങള്‍, ഈഞ്ഞാലില്‍, മലതുരക്കൽ തുടങ്ങിയ
കാവ്യങ്ങള്‍ ഈ സമാഹ്ദൂരത്തിലുള്ളവയാണ്‌.
1952-ലാണ്‌ വൈലോപ്ലിള്ളിയുടെ ഏറ്റവും ;
പ്രശസ്തമായ കൃതി ‘കുടിയൊഴിക്കൽ’
രചിക്കപ്പെട്ടത്‌,ബിത്തും കൈക്കോട്ടും,
കടല്‍ക്കാക്കകള്‍, കുരുവികൾ, കയ്യവല്ലരി, വിട, ]
മകരക്കൊയ്ത്ത്‌ എന്നിവയാണ്‌ മറ്റു കാവ്യ
സമാഹാരങ്ങള്‍. കൂടാതെ ജഷ്യശ്യംഗന്‍,
അലക്ടാണ്ടര്‍,എന്നീ നാടകങ്ങളും അദ്ദേഹം ;
