മാടുമേയ്ക്കല്‍ തുടങ്ങി യ പണികളിൽ.
ഏര്‍പ്പെട്ടിരു ന്നു. അമ്മാവന്റെ പരണപ്രകാരം ;
പുതുപ്പള്ളിയിലുള്ള കുമ്മമ്പിള്ളി
രാമന്‍പിള്ളയാശാന്റെ കീഴില്‍ സംസ്കൃതം പഠി
ക്കാന്‍ തുടങ്ങി. നാലു വര്‍ഷത്തിനുശേഷം ;
ചെമ്പഴന്തിയി ലേക്കു തിരിച്ചുപോവുകയും
സംസ്കൃതം പഠിപ്പിക്കാനു ള്ള പാഠശാലകൾ
സ്ഥാപിച്ച്‌ സംസ്കൃതാദ്ധ്യാപനം തു ടങ്ങുകയും
ചെയ്തു. ചെറുപ്പം മുതല്‍ തന്നെ വേദാന്ത ]
വിചാരത്തില്‍ ആഭി മൂഖ്യം കാണിച്ചിരുന്ന
നാണു അയ്യാവിന്റെ ശിഷ്യ നായി യോഗ വും
തമിഴ്‌ വഴിക്കുള്ളവേദാന്തവും പഠിച്ചു.

ഇതിനി ടെ ചട്ടമ്പി സ്വാമികളുമാ യി പരിചയ
പ്പെട്ടു.യോഗരാ ഭ്യാസ വിഷയത്തില്‍ കൂടു തൽ ]
പരിജ്ഞാന വും സംസ്കൃതത്തിലൂടെ യുള്ള
അദ്വൈത വേദാ ന്തോപദേശവും നൽകിയത്‌
ചട്ടമ്പി സ്വാമികളായിരുന്നു. തനിക്കു കിട്ടിയ ]
ഉപദേശങ്ങളുടെ സാ ധനയ്ക്കായി ഗുരു
കന്യാകുമാരിക്കു സമീപമുള്ള മരുത്വാ
മലയിലേക്കു പോയി. പ്രകൃതി രമ ണീയമായ
സ്ഥലങ്ങളില്‍ ക്ഷേത്ര പ്രതിഷ്യ
നടത്തിക്കൊണ്ടാണ്‌ തന്റെ ആത്മീയ ദ൪തൃത്തിന്‌
അദ്ദേഹം തുടക്കമിട്ടത്‌. 10-മാണ്ട്‌
അരുവിപ്പുറത്ത്‌ ശിവ പ്രതിഷ നടത്തി. ]

അരുവിപ്പുറത്തുവ ച്ചാണ്‌ കുമാരനാശാന്‍
ശ്രീനാരായണഗുരുവിന്റെ ശിഷ്യനായ്ത്‌. പിന്നീട്‌
സ്വാമികള്‍ തന്റെ പ വര്‍ത്തനകേന്ദ്രടവര്‍ക്കല
കുന്നിലേക്കു മാറ്റി. 1078 ധനു 53-95 തീയതി
സ്വാമികളുടെ ഭക്ത ന്മാർ ശ്രീനാരായണഗുരു
ധര്‍മ്മ പരിപാലനയോഗം എന്ന്‌ പേരില്‍ ഒരു
യോഗം സംദഘടിപ്പിച്ചിരു ്നു.അതിന്റെ ഒന്‍പതാം
വാര്‍ഷികം ആലോഷില്ല’ സമയത്ത്‌ സ്വാമികൾ
വര്‍ക്കലയില്‍ ഒരു ശിവക്ഷേത്രവും ശാരദാ
ക്ഷേത്രവും നിര്‍മ്മിച്ചു. സ്വാമികളുടെ
ഇഷ്ടദേവതകള്‍-ശിവനും സുബ്‌
ഹ്മണ്യനുമായിരുന്നു. ആലുവായില്‍ ഒരാശ്രമവും
സംസ്കൃത ഫാദശാലയും സ്ഥാപിച്ചു. അങ്ങനെ
പൂജാദികള്‍ക്കുവേണ്ടി

_വിഗ്രഹപ്രതിഷ്യയോടുകൂടിയ ക്ഷേത്രങ്ങളില്‍ ]
തുടങ്ങി ഒരു ബിം ബം മാത്രമുള്ള ശാരദാ
ക്ഷേത്രവും പിന്നീട്‌ ബിംബങ്ങളില്ലാത്ത
അദ്വൈതാശ്രമവും സ്ഥാപിച്ച സ്വാമികൾ ;
ഏകജാതിയിലും ഏകമതത്തിലും
ഏകദൈവത്തിലും വിശ്വസിച്ചു. 1096-ല്‍ അദ്ദേ ;
ഹം നല്‍കിയ പ്രഖ്യാതമായ ഉപദേശം’ഒരു ജാതി,
ഒരു മതം, ഒരു ദൈവം മനുഷ്യന്‌ എന്നു തു
ടങ്ങുന്നതാണ്‌. ഓരോ സ്ഥലത്തെയും
ഭക്തജനങ്ങളുടെ അഭ്യര്‍ത്ഥന മാനിച്ച്‌
അതാതിടങ്ങളില്‍ ചെന്നെത്തിയ സ്വാമികൾ
അനേകം ക്ഷേത്രങ്ങള്‍ പ്രതിഷിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്‌. ;
